Miami Beach Surf Report (snook, flounder etc.)
I've fished Miami Beach, mostly SoBe in the am when the surf is good. I look for NE winds, the windier the better. If there are surfers, better believe the hungry snook are in the wash too. The last couple days have had the optimum conditions, waves, wind, weed, and top of the tide. The hasn't been much for bait lately, no pilchards or mullet yet. I'll bring some live finger mullet cast netted in canals. Fishing the very edge of the first trough, I got a few flounder in the 16-18" range, and pulled off a few others that were just too small to eat the whole bait. Today there was a good snook bite, went 4 for 5, couple slots and the rest just under. Same thing the other day. I released everything, slots and flounder alike. Tight lines.
