NIRL 9/23

Little better today after the hard rain we got last night. I usually head out towards my spot at a rapid pace and get off-step a good ways out from my spot and either Poll or Trolling motor the rest of the way. As I am transitioning from Engine to Motor my wife is already throwing her Skitter Walk when I heard a definite "Strike" while I was looking down moving stuff around. I asked her if it was a strike and what was it? She said a Red and about that time her drag was moving a little (we fish fairly lite) and about the time she said that she had him he was gone. (Long story made shorter)...He did not miss on her next cast and it was an acrobatic STRIKE. She also got one on the very next cast...I still do not even have my rod out of the rack. I set the Talons and proceeded to get another five. The weather was not great so we only had about an hour and a half on the water.
