Been quiet, anyone fish in?

Haven't seen much posted in the Marathon area for a while. Wondering whats up? Wife and I are coming down to Knights Key this Sat 9/20 for a week. Any reports on whats going on would be appreciated. Hoping to go offshore for Dolphin, black fins or whatever else . Maybe try a little bottom, have some killer chum I made. Also want to do a little gulf side, anything going on there?? Would like to meet/chat with any members while down there, will ck in time to time.

Heck, cheaper just to go with reg ice. I found it $6+ lb up here. May buy a little to sit on op of the reg ice, see how much longer it lasts

Went out of Marathon yesterday. Have not seen so many frigates in a long time.
They were marking acres of Skipjacks and Blackfin.
NOAA had the gulfstream about right, 18 miles south of Sombrero light.
Decent weed lines, lot's of Mahi, nothing in the gaffer or slammer range but all 26 to 30 inches.
On to the Swordfish grounds, one bite all day, no fish. Going to do a night sword run tomorrow.
Beautiful water and nice and calm.

Yeah fib, now THAT sounds more like it. Great report! Sounds like you may be in the Marathon area. (sombrero key)??
Piner, thank you too! I have quite a lot of chum, like those trout too. Gonna at least take one day for the bay side, probably back of Big Pine. Thanks again guys!!
