Lowering a hummingbird transducer...

fishonfishon Posts: 963 Officer
I have a 787 hummingbird that will not pick up the depth while on plane. Transducer looks to be mounted high.
How do I lower the transducer? It appears to have a breakaway mount, as no screws are visible to remove? So how do I get behind the transducer to get to the screws the lower the transducer. I have pulled on but afraid it will break before opening. Thanks for your thoughts. Tomm

Pull on the lower part of the bracket (the part the transducer actually is bolted to) bracket to activate the breakaway feature. go to humminbirds site under supprt / general install guides and click on XNT SI install guide, that should clear up any confuxion. Also Ive installed several and if installed / adjusted exactly as the instructions say they read bottom at speed

Point it so part closest to hull is up with tail down slightly
