FWC Red Tide Sampling Information

Hey all, I posted this before, but I think it's buried in a closed thread. If you're interested in taking some samples for the FWC, contact Karen. I took two on my last fishing trip. It took less than five minutes for each. Piece of cake. Then the information was posted and the data from my samples sent back to me so I know exactly how the fish are faring where I fished last. Pretty cool. I highly recommend it. Email Karen and she'll send you a link to become a volunteer. Within a few days of filling out the online form you'll receive a package in the mail with some water bottles and return envelopes. Thanks.

Got this from Karen today...this would bode ill for some of my favorite fishing spots.

    Hey Citrus County Volunteers,
A bloom and dead fish have been spotted25 miles off Crystal River (28 52.056, -83 08.860). If you happen to be out that way fishing, please pick me up a water sample. If you have not received your supplies, then collect with a normal water bottle and send it in wrapped a wet paper towel. Fed Ex #488988603, attn Karen Henschen. Appreciate all your help. Thanks,

    Karen
