Hey guys just sold my cobia bay boat to put my wife through school and I still have the urge to fish. I live in ocala and always go to Yankee town for red and trout fishing but I was thinking now since I'm boatless I could give kayak flats fishing a try. I've never done it but all the YouTube videos make it look awesome. Is there anywhere around me that I can try out some kayaks and even go out with someone to see if I even like it before I buy something that will sit in my garage for ever?

You can rent kayaks at Cedar Key; I used to do that all the time before I broke down and bought my own. You won't find a huge variety of kayaks to try out, but you'll at least get to see if you enjoy kayak fishing at all. If you go, I would recommend Cedar Key Paddling. Daniel has a shop right as you first are driving in the the town. It's $25 to rent the kayak all day and he'll let you know where people have been doing well and can launch you from a number of spots around the island.
