Mosquito Lagoon Water Quality

I've been stuck in New York for a couple months but coming back to FL soon. I've heard rumors that there hasn't been any algae bloom in Mosquito Lagoon this summer (not yet at least) and that the grass is starting to come back a bit. Anybody been there/can attest to this?

P.S. I only started fishing the lagoon a couple years ago (the year of the first bad algae bloom) so I don't really know what "normal" summer water quality is like.

I can't speak to the ML specifically as I've been spending more time on the other side of Haulover but I'll say that are is way better now than it was this time last year. There are pockets of some cloudy water, but over all it's pretty clean given what we've been seeing the last few years. In many areas there the grass is healthier than I've seen in years. It looks like a nicely manicured pro sports field just under the water.

I've spend a lot of time wading in the Indian River in Titusville - the water has been tannish near the creek mouths due to all the run off from the major rain we've been having lately - but mostly clear - and the water level is high. And yes, the grass is the best I've seen it in 2 years.
There are only so many casts in life, so shut up and fish!!

We were down by Nasa Causeway weekend before last and the water was clear to about four feet. Hope it stays that way.

Middle lagoon is very clear. I"m like you, only been fishing the area since the algae and its better than I've ever seen it at this time of year. Hope it stays that way...
