  It's a great question....Ive heard 19 for West Palm and Jupiter, and I've heard either 71 or 73 for SLI. 73, I believe, was said to be the "commercial guys channel." Can anybody give us the real deal on what channels are used in this area? Thanks.

  I thought 16 was like for "serious business" and monitoring but then from there you switch to another channel to have an actual conversation or whatever?

  I put the radio on scan and do a lot of listening. You'll be able to monitor what's going on if you watch the channels that show activity and listen for the quality of the transmissions... you can tell who is close and who is not. If you have a signal strength meter, that is a huge help too. :crowd
  Most importantly, all fishermen lie. :liar If they are into the fish, the cell phone will be busier than the radio. :grin
