Bait well pump q's
I have a 186 G3 all weld that I mostly fish inshore with occasional bass fishing too. The live well is a square under the front of the console seat. The pump is a 500gph with the intake in the transom directly at the bottom of the V under the engine. Long story shirt it seems like it is not getting water when the boat is moving at all. Even when it is still the pump doesn't do a ton. If I want it to pump all the time even when moving do I need to cut a new intake hole? Get a new pump? Any other thoughts or ideas are appreciated.

Possible problems to check out:
A kink in the hose between the pump and live well.
The pump's impeller could be spinning in the wrong direction, The blades on the impeller are curved and move more water with the curve facing the direction of travel. To reverse the direction of the impeller just switch the wires around.
The pump might not be getting enough juice due to corrosion in a wire connection. check all connections for green corrosion.

This is a hi speed pickup that gets mounted thru the hull bottom.
The T-h scoop mounts around the flange of the thru hull on the transom an extends slightly below the bottom of the transom to scoop water. The TH scoop will not require any new holes or repair of old ones.
