  Will it work in lowrance hds 8? Does it have the Google map overlay?

  I took it out of an hds 8 gen 2. I have no idea about google overlay.

  I'll take a look online. I'm talking about when you are using the chartplotter instead of having depth contours and colors it literally uses Google maps so you can see water, markers, sand bars, etc. Great for flats boats because you can spot troughs and oyster bars
