Deep Dropping Question
Do the small lights some people use when deep dropping for tile fish, grouper and snapper work? Do they increase the number of bites? If so, is one color better than another?
Yes, yes and any color. No light=No bite
I normally don't use lights when fishing for Snowies where there is heavy structure (natural or artificial). I really do not think it affects the bite and the cost of losing lights to hanging can get expensive. When I fish for Goldens I may add a light if it is mud bottom. Again, I have caught them with and without lights. If they are there and hungry, they will eat without lights. That is my $.02
No lights Golden

Interesting, I subscribe to the no lights no fish mentality. Have to give no lights a try.

Don't know about deep dropping. ..
never fished tile, snowy, but do fish
the middle grounds a couple of
times a year for grouper an snapper.
At night we do use glow beads. An
it does seem like it increases the number
of hook up's. I kinda think like "on deck"
No light =no bite ...hope this helps ...btw.
green glow beads ..
