Reds...over and under...short afternoon trip

Slipped out today with Windsplitter (Duane) for a few hours of fishing for reds and we wanted one to split for dinner.

No fish dinner tonight. Two over slots that were fat and healthy plus eight under slots. I did catch a trout but no snook. All fish came on spoons, redfish magic, and soft jerkbaits.

They were fighting very hard, must be the water temp is just right for them now. That was fun, but I'm still hungry for fresh fish.

Healthy looking Reds Bill. I should be home again and back in action soon myself.

Going out again today to try for dinner...again. I'm not complaining as any red is fun to catch especially sight fishing for them in skinny water.

We saw a huge school of them yesterday but not wanting to use cut bait we didn't have much luck on catching them when they were schooled up. It was pick one here, pick another the next place, etc. but we both prefer to fish with lures for the challenge. Even if that means, over and under slot fish, and no redfish for dinner. :)
