Sand Flea Rake Size Question

BridgeRodBridgeRod Posts: 211 Officer
I bought a sand flea rake recently and I've been able to catch sand fleas pretty regularly. I was thinking about possibly getting a bigger one to make catching bait a little bit easier. What size rake do you think is good for a mortal man?

Not really sure what the answer is there. I have seen some that look to be 30" long and around 18" deep on some youtube videos that the commercial guys use.

I bought a standard flea rake at the local tackle shop about a year ago and it was a waste of money. Honestly, the fleas are either there or their not. If they're not around a flea rake won't work magic and if they are around and I get strategic about where I dig, I can catch just about as many with my hands than I can with the rake. I just sold it.

Check out youtube theres tons of stuff on there and will give you a good idea of what you think you can handle.

Mine is 4ft wide and 15" deep with a handle that makes a T so that you can pull with both hands.
When there there it does not take long to fill a bucket.
