Haulover Canal 1/24/14

With the horrendous wind I figured the only spot that would be sheltered was Haul Over, I was right. I fished all day, from 9-5 with a couple short breaks. I drifted with the current the whole time, using the trolling motor to slow my drifts. I marked lots of fish, but only managed two. One really nice red, and one decent trout. No one else I talked to did any good either, and they where all fishing bait, live and dead shrimp, chunks, crabs, and nothing. So I felt good about doing better with artificials. Hopefully the wind dies down. I am sick of planning every trip around where I can find some shelter, and getting soaked on the runs in and out.
