 Headed out early today to take advantage of the break in the weather. The exit of the Jupiter Inlet at 6am was easy as we entered Lake Atlantic. Picked up a mixed bag of live bait and headed out. Seas gradually picked up throughout the morning. For a bit, we lost enough wind for the kite, but then it picked up again later.
First drift in around 150ft off Juno a lively cigar minnow gets nailed :fishing on the flatline just minutes after deployment. Active fish with some beautiful jumps. Fish was healthy and released cleanly.
Wow, we are thinking this is going to be a great day......Not so quick.......
That was it for the day........
Unless you wanted to count blue runners on steroids!!! We caught tons of them. On bottom, dead bait, on the top, mid column, some of the biggest runners I have ever seen.
Saw one micro dolly swim by and tease us but never saw his bigger siblings.
And yes, the one pic is really our sailfish and not the sporto in the distance fish.
Seemed slow on the radio too!
Hope you guys had some luck....
