Brother you wanted me to post you up so here it is. Congrats on becoming a CAPT.. Looks like you had a good year, even though there was no video of me and my big snapper. Guess I need to get Jerry Nolan to do another TV show with you to get me on video. Maybe when you get a boat to captain we can do it.

Thanks for the congrats on me becoming a Captain. My score for all four test ended up being 91.5 not to bad. Finishing up final paper work for USCG and my new OUPV Lic will be mine soon. As for the video it was Highlights of 2013 not biggest fish or most fish. It was more about getting as much of the family and close friends as i could in a short video clip. I am ready to do another TV show soon when time permits for all of us. btw i don't think i got a great pic or video of this years big snapper of yours. Have to catch another next year and get it on highlights 2014.

Thanks LilO as i have fished the offshore waters of the East Coast and GOM for the last 30years and have always wanted my OUPV and 100ton Lic, just never took the time to take the tests. I did take the prep class before taking the tests and learned a lot and it helped me pass all tests. Before taking tests make sure you know Rules Of The Road as it is the hardest part jmo. As I said this taught me a lot and sure i am a better boat captain now.

My wife wondered why, since I love offshore fishing so much, I didn't start a charter service, & I told her that as long as I don't have to depend on it for a living, when I invite someone along that makes a fool of himself, I can just not invite them back. I'm glad to hear that they stress the rules of the road, as I think the average captain (rec or comm) are often not very well versed! Congratulations! :beer
In my many years, I have come to a conclusion that one useless man is a shame, two is a law firm, and three or more is a congress.-- John Adams
After taking and passing my Captain's test mom and dad took me to one of my favorite watering holes Hunt's Oyster Bar for a few dozen raw oysters and a few cold ones.
Well tonight got to return the favor. Well here is mom and dad favorite meal fresh crab stuffed and fried Flounder. And i did throw me in some fried grouper and shrimp.
Here is the final highlight for 2013. After almost two months of work finally got my paperwork complete. I now have my USCG OUPV License in hand. Still working on finishing up 100 ton and Towing endorsement.
Wishing all a happy new year and hope in 2014 all sailors have "Fair Winds and Following Seas"
