Small but Fun

I have been having fun this summer catching these little fellows just off Rockledge Drive. This fellow makes number 50, no slam, but still OK for me. Caught most all of them on fly but started in May with the first eight on spinning and they just loved DOA shrimp.

Thanks for looking.

Maybe small Jim but the colors on your pic are amazing again! Great job on both.

Very cool....makes you wonder if it will be a 150 lb'er some day.

That photo is unreal! Though your cooler may have been empty it sounds like a pretty entertaining day of fishing!

It seems as though there are two different types of people in the world:

Those who can catch Tarpon in a drainage ditch on a hot dog, and those who can't even if you underhanded one to 'em.

Sure looks like fun. One of these days...

    Thanks everyone!

PP, your time will come with the silver fellows too. You have been catching a lot of the others for sure. I am lucky that I have a nice little spot that always seems to have a few. I come home most days with 0 just so you know. I hope they show up for you soon.

    :thumbsup Jim

Like everyone else said, great pic and yes that little guy will put up a scrap on fly. I accidently cast netted one about that size, he let me know he wasn't real pleased.

Dang nice fish Jim and great pic.

I am going to have to start looking for you in the mornings to see were you are catching them.

Are you still wading or shore fishing?

About three weeks back the water was very nice in the am.

I actually got 2 last weekend -- haven't caught one in a long long time. The small ones really do put on a great show!
You were good though, very nice picture!

    Thanks again guys!

Mark, I believe I am North of where you fish. Even north of the pipes,..... with my cast Bro, I need just about nothing behind me to cause trouble. So, with that said, I spend 95% of my time wading so to have the clear room.

JL, so many of the small cheap cameras these days produce such wonderful photos. With tarpon not having a whole of color what I did here was just bump up the saturation a bit in photoshop. If done properly it really can make a so-so photo into a nice one.

    Thanks for your comments!

Lets hook up and you can cast from the bow of the maverick. I need to knock the cob webs off the boat since I have been working out of state a lot lately she has been ignored too long. I usuallly hit the pipes in my golf cart after a good rain but that is no place to throw a fly....LOL.
