Whitetail Question

A friend made the statement "When a doe gives birth to a single fawn that fawn is always a doe. When there are two fawns the second one is a buck." I had never heard this before and it doesn't make sense to me, but I am not a biologist. I also can not find information to support his statement. Does anyone know if this is true or not? I have to say my friend is from West Virginia if that explains it.:wink:huh
