Very cool. Thanks for posting. Great to see those big girls around in good numbers.

Is that one guy in the video the Captain that took Bill Dance tarpon fishing a couple of times around Fort Lauderdale a couple of times on his saltwater show? If so I would love to pick his brain sometime. He had a very interesting way to target those tarpon, he was slow trolling big live mullet in tight quarters in the inter-coastal and canals with his big motor. He was really putting a lot of fish in the air. I have wondered how that same technique would work in some of the parts of the Glades rivers where tarpon stack up. They don't seem to like a trolling motor pushing into the current at all. You can go with the current all day and hang right in them but if you ever push hard against the current you will just push them about 2 to 3 cast lengths in front of you. I guess the area he fishes has so much boat traffic the fish aren't as sensitive.

Great video. The backdrop scenes are not Fort Pierce lol.

Ya captain Jeff fishes areas where there is a lot of boat traffic so they don't mind his main engine and a lot of the times the fish will eat a short bait right by the boat. Give him a ring sometime if you wanna discuss. When I take him fishing I mostly use thr trolling motor. Not just to be stealthy, but to keep hours off the engine too :)
