Helen S and Fish City Pride report 8/28/13

I got a message that I haven't been posting any reports and I have to apologize it has been way to long and I'll will get back in the swing.
Snapper fishing has been excellent the past few weeks when conditions have been right. I know it's going back but around the july moon the mutton bight was excellent with lot's of big fish from 8-12 pounds with 2 that I know of that made 15#'s. Around the last moon in August the mangrove bite was off the chain, all the spots along the 3rd reef were covered up and we had a few trips we limited out on mangroves and came close to the overall snapper limit with a mix of tails and muttons.
The last week or so the yellowtail bite is starting to heat up and should peak with either the September or October moon, but the mutton and yellowtail bite should stay steady thru the fall, especially if we get any kind of tropical disturbance, if that happens the mutton and red grouper bite should go off.
We had a couple days of calm wind and lite current this week and were able to get on the vermilions pretty good. Kingfish bite has been almost non existent, plenty of bonitas and little tunas around on the troll or with the vertical jigs, wahoo bite was epic before the august moon, we didn't get any on the driftboats but the live bait bite on the pop a top was excellent. Sorry again for no reports and if someone can tell me again how to post pictures I have some great ones from over the summer.
