If you transplant it, put it in a location with a good Southern exposure. It will bloom early in the spring when the sun is still in the South. They seem to bloom best when they get a lot of sun late winter/early spring.
When they bloom you'll have something like this in your yard:
You may be right. All the pics shown previously looked like smaller leaves than what the OP posted. Then I found this...
Yep, good pic. It's got that 5-leaf configuration but the leaves are larger. I guess maybe there are two different yellow varieties, aurea and argentea.
There is one at a house around the corner from me that's about twice as big. It's ridiculous when it's in full bloom.
If you've ever noticed at Sea World or Disney World, all the pink trees, those are also tabs.
I have a St. Lucie Tab in my backyard but I think I planted in the wrong place. Doesn't seem to get enough direct sun in early spring to bloom. Maybe when it gets taller.
But after this thread I think I need to put a yeller one in the front yard

The venation looks more like a Taby tree but the length and width look more frangipani like. The picture below is a yellow Taby and a frangipani (sorry it is upside down, I have tried uploading them 3 times including once upside down hoping they would be right side up). The frangipani leaves are much longer and look closer in length to the OP's picture. The leaves to the right are yellow Taby and the frangipani is on the left of the photo

OK I'm having a slack Friday so I'll play the picture game... this is fun, I'm in the middle of landscaping my yard with trees like this...
Here is my pink tab, these leaves are smaller but have that same 5-leaf configuration:
It's only been in the ground 9 months. I thought it would really bloom this year, it was covered in buds, but they were real spotty and never got fully covered. I don't think it gets enough sun maybe.
The frangi leaves are way different and very unique. And the branches are unique to say the least. I'm pretty sure it's not even a tree but an extremely large succulent.
These are all frangis - three cuttings off the one 'mother' tree... you just plant a branch in the ground and it grows into a tree...
