Tebow released

The NY Jets have released Tim Tebow. Does anyone still care?

May he have a long fruitful career in the CFL or UFL or whatever they call it. Or either move to TE and get to work....

    Jets waived QB Tim Tebow.
And so ends one of the most ill-advised experiments in NFL history. Tebow was reportedly informed of the move after reporting to work out Monday morning. He'll pass through waivers unclaimed. Tebow is just 15 months removed from leading the Broncos to a Wild Card win over the Steelers, but was miserable in the Jets' spitball offense last season, attempting only eight total passes while averaging 3.2 yards per carry. Tebow could still help a team that has an actual idea of how to use him, but isn't an NFL starting quarterback. He's reportedly open to a position switch, but the crushing media hype that surrounds him will make teams very leery of taking a flier. The Montreal Alouettes own his CFL rights. The Jets are methodically moving on from the myriad mistakes of the Mike Tannenbaum era. Releasing Mark Sanchez will likely be next.

For a guy who cant play or isnt good enough for the NFL he sure wins a lot of games and packs the stadiums. I would think thats what teams would want but hey im not a NFL coach.

I sure wish the man would succeed somewhere at QB then come back a winner to the NFL. He could be a multi-edged weapon somewhere. TE, running back and someone that could fill in at QB when needed.

Interesting that they 'released' him- i.e.- couldn't even trade him (or get any 'value' whatsoever)
There should be NO Commercial Fishing for any fish species considered 'Over-fished' , 'Undergoing Overfishing' or Subject to Recreational Seasons, Limits, or Closures... Game Fish Status IS the Answer !!!

1 down and 1 or 2 more to go for the Jets. The Orlando Predators need a QB

x2 - and making paid inspirational speeches and not getting your head beat up. And, helping the less fortunate and bringing people to Christ. I really like Tebow and wish him the best!

Everyone knew that he was NOT an NFL style quarterback, but I thought he was a good enough athlete to find a niche as a utility back that could run the ball and block as well as put a little scare into defenses because of his ability to roll out and pass as a wildcard.

I still think that he'll do well at whatever he chooses to do.

    I found this hilarious:

Tim Tebow - QB - Free Agent
GM Tom Telesco said the Chargers are not interested in free agent Tim Tebow.
We're not going to blurb every team that isn't interested in Tebow because there wouldn't be room for any other news. But the Chargers have a connection in new head coach Mike McCoy, who was Tebow's Denver offensive coordinator when he beat the Steelers in the playoffs. At this point, the saga is becoming comical. Indoor football team Omaha Beef has offered Tebow a contract. When the Beef's starting quarterback, James McNear, was asked if he's insulted by the offer, he said: "I think Tim can learn a lot from me."
