refreeze lobster tails?

tydtyd Posts: 74 Deckhand
Hey guys,

I had some lobster tails in the freezer and the door must have been left cracked and they have partially thawed. Is it ok to refreeze them?

Yes it is but to be safe you should consider sending them to me!

Definitely, especially if they didn't thaw out completely.

You are absolutely okay to throw those jokers back in that box and eat them later.

Don't worry about it one iota. Somebody I know (may or may not be my wife) left our door open on approximately 100 tails from our honeymoon... She discovered it and called me. I came home and the tails were in the exact same condition as you found yours. We are down to maybe 20 remaining tails and they have all been just like any other frozen lobster.

Eat them and never look back.
