Royal Purple makes Synthetic Lower Unit Lube & has a new Synthetic Motor Oil designed for 4S OBs... Good stuff... My Honda BF-225s are >10% more fuel efficient vs. when I used regular oil/lube...Not sure where you get it where you are, but it might be worth hunting...
There should be NO Commercial Fishing for any fish species considered 'Over-fished' , 'Undergoing Overfishing' or Subject to Recreational Seasons, Limits, or Closures... Game Fish Status IS the Answer !!!

Have used Yamalube 10w30, no synthetics, have about 2500 hrs. on my F250's, with no problems. A bit hesitate to switch to synthetic. Mech. supplied oil in the past, now I need to. Thanks for suggestions. Know Bonita Boat center people are good folks, may try them, a bit of a drive for me from Ft Myers.

I have heard some stories of high mileage cars that switched to Synthetic & started burning oil, so I guess that could apply to high hour OBs ??? I can't see how synthetic lower unit lube could hurt though...

West marine will carry it. The flagship store on college/41 will definitely have it. If you can't find it, ask for Gary in parts and he'll help you out!
Forget all the bells and whistles.
Just buy a quality motor oil. I use Valvoline or Pennsoil. 10w30 or 10w40
The lower unit lube can be bought at any marine store.
