If my son and I go fishing and catch four redfish does it matter who reels them in if we keep them? Or, would be against the law even though there is 2 people in the boat.
I'm no lawyer but possession limits are per person, not per boat. So technically you did break the law the way I have interpreted it but I could be wrong.

There should be NO Commercial Fishing for any fish species considered 'Over-fished' , 'Undergoing Overfishing' or Subject to Recreational Seasons, Limits, or Closures... Game Fish Status IS the Answer !!!
