So Ive cast netted pilchards right off the lobster shanty dock ( by 17th bridge in Vero). I fish there often and saw some bait in the water one windy night. I threw the net out of curiosity and up comes like 30 pilchards. Same ones I pay a dollar for @ FPI. It's weird, I manage the restaurant so I'm there every night.... But there only there on the windy nights...... When the waters calm .... Nada... Any one have info of why that is?...... Anyway .... Yeah... Pilchards at the lobster shanty.
We went out westerday Wed 2/20 and north of Inlet about 30 FT lots of Greenies just keep eye on depth finder. Rip and weeds in 160 FT We were on PLANE FISH n!
Good luck to all

South of the Ft Pierce inlet off the pine trees north of the power plant 30' - lots of greenies mixed in with hornbellies. Nothing at the bouys on thurs.
Had to run the extra mile north of the House of Refuge, greenies and hornbellies, had 15 nice geenies in about 20 minutes biut its a long run fromSLI if your fishing south.
We fished that pod of bait yesterday morning. We were able to find greenies above the bellies but if you didn't mark two separate groups all you got was bellies. We did catch a sailfish in 37 feet of water fishing around the boats catching bait.
Stuart report...From Tuesday 03/05, we were able to get a couple dozen greenies just a little south of the old Holiday Inn in 30' of water. We had to sort through quite a few horn bellies to get them though. The greenies were on top of the horn bellies. Also heard of greenies northeast of the marker and south of the inlet along the beach.

Hey buddy,
Where have you been???????
Great to see you.
We will be on the Let's Go tomorrow.
Last week, the bait was due north of the House of Refuge and in front of the Holiday Inn in about 35 to 40' of water.
Of course... that was last week. If we get on them, I'll give you a call on 73
Good luck
Cheers
