Cape Romano and Caxambas Pass questions...

Coming out of Goodland and turning northwest at **** Key Light you can get to Caxambas Pass running between Ramsey and Helen Keys and Horrs Island etc.

The chart shows two other marked passages that begin along the southern border of Helen Key and at the southwest end go southwest around Cape Romano and northwest between Kice Island and Helen Key and Dickmans out thru Caxambas. Are these passages open all the way and do they carry at least 4' of water at low tide?

Thanks.

I've only done the passage around **** Key Light and out Caxambas Pass. I've been warned plenty not to try the two you mentioned but I think that's because I'm fairly new at this and they're just looking out for me. I know I've yet to see anybody that far over but that doesn't mean much.

4ft at low tide will be pushing it. I run this area all the time and still worry at low tide. If you run the first channel and come out by horrs island and follow the channel and then head north where the slow wake zone is. You should be good

Thanks for the warning. I'll stick with your advice.
