SI FLOUNDER

Today, and monday an hour before the tide change we hauled up several. One almost at 11#'s. Total keepers for 2 days between 2 people - 17. Some decent size, and some small mixed in the bunch. Most on finger's. Some on hand picks. One on a green grub - first cast. They are their for sure.
Good luck, and be safe out their.:USA

Nice job!!! 3 weeks ago they were in PC pretty thick but only averaged about 2#s a piece with a few 5#s. We ended up with 24 keepers in 4 days plus a slot red. Ever since that weekend they have really slowed down. The few I've been picking up since are slowly getting bigger though. Hope to get out during the holidays and load the freezer!

Sounds great, I'd love to give flounder a try again. Should I fish in the narrow part of the inlet, or closer to the lagoon side where there is less current and fewer rocks to get stuck on? Oh, by the way, are you fishing from the south shore/north shore, or from a boat? I've tried a couple of times without success so I haven't built up the confidence, and always end up fishing the surf instead.

went on wednesday, i was using a yo zuri crystal minnow, electric chicken doa shrimp, and some doa shad tail with chatreuse tail and a 1/8 oz doa jig head and some scent. i got there at like 11:50am about an hour before high tide and i saw some guy get a nice flounder near the jetty part of the park, and i saw some guy pick up a flounder further into the inlet where all the boats where hanging out for the day. I'm pretty bummed that i drove 2 hours and got nothing. i guess i gotta throw live bait or something. I also cut my finger pretty deep from a hidden knife in my tackle box and i scratched up my penn reel on the concrete. Just a terrible day for fishing
