Can I add way points manually?

I've some way points that a friend gave me. Can I manually enter lat. long. #'s into my 898si?

    Yes.. not sure if the 898 is the same as my 798...I would think so. With previous software: nav tab / waypoints / create, enter lat lon info and hit save. With current software: nav tab / waypoints / options / new, enter lat lon info and hit save.

    If you just have them on paper and have to type manually I'd used Humminbird PC then save then to sd card then but in bird. If you have then in email I'd use Humminbird PC and copy and paste them then save to sd card and put in machine. You could also turn on the 898 and use the cursor to scroll to the # and hit mark.

    I personally find the slowest route enter manually on my 998.
