i have neighbor (and slightly quirky friend) that has one of those beast....
there's an amusing story involving katrina and that lizard but i shall save it for another day....

Below, baby American Alligator, about 10 inches long, Green Cay wetlands, Palm Beach County.
One of our local lizards competing with the local chameleons. The other critter was a raccoon.

First photo is a sleeping gator. This old gator was enjoying her nap.
One eye open up. The mouth is opening up.
Both eyes are open, the mouth is opening up and the hissing begin. Time to move on.
Eastern Fence Lizard
This picture is different from all the rest because of the gator and turtles sharing the same log in the Santa Fa River.
