wondered if anyone has thought about this?

you did see it was a dodge right. That's not just a brand it's a warning. You should dodge it.

    It's a gamble.

Either the governor pressure solenoid is bad, the speed sensor is bad, the front band is improperly adjusted or the band is broken.....
Apparantly any of the three can cause the problem we're having.

The first three are cheap fixes, the last might as well be a rebuilt ****. We'll see.....

Someday Duramaxes will be old enough to be cheap. Then you'll have something. :) You can exceed 1000HP with a bolt ons. Turbo program, nitrous (can't lean burn it) and propane. Yall should really play with propane. No easier way to juice a diesel, and it's COLD

This one is not going to be juiced up...........much.

It's going to be a barn truck for use when I don't want to get the girl truck dirty.

When the three youngest are out of college, I'll buy that new Duramax.

Odd coincidence. Earlier this evening I searched Dodge/Chrysler reliability issues in relation to their minivan V6 motors & found dire complaints, especially chronic **** design issues.

My 92 Power Ram 250 Cummins is a truck. 5-spd, extended cab, 8ft bed, 4x4, factory lift. 100% Florida made biodiesel.

The Generation 1's have a cult following for a reason.

Don't particularly think any one brand is better than the other when it comes to diesel trucks. Except the all new ones are particularly complicated and expensive and their mileage is worse than the early 90s trucks.

same here. They couldn't fix the thing, it would occasionally just quit while turning. Finally a factory rep was down and took it for a drive, he turned across 2 lanes of oncoming traffic and it quit. DRT. Yeah, they fixed it. Only worse vehicle was a VW van.
