My airlift helicopter ride from Marathon to Miami was $21,000. Insurance at first declined coverage. After a few exchanges, they paid $7 thousand and left the balance for me. Second time through the appeals process, they agreed to pay in full. No discounts as the ins co had no network agreement with the helo co.

My sister just had a baby that was a month premature and it had to be taken 60 miles to Charleston by helicopter. $28,000!
What has changed about healthcare since the POTUS has been in office???? NOTHING..... Enjoy
It hasn't started paying back yet. He was smart enough to make it not make big changes until after his second election. He's not always and idiot, just his voters.
I did not read the story but if you take tax payers money maybe you should be held to some standards.-Cyclist

Now you are the authority on the safety of other people's hobbies?
Is there anything you won't **** like an angry old woman about?
And here you are, providing no input but personal attacks. You deny they are dangerous? I've spent my time in the ER from a motorcycle. Luckily just a 6" scar on my leg after hitting a tree. I sure didn't tell him not to do it or ban them did I? All you do is comment on a few people. Sure would like to meet you for a "beer" one day.

Don't laugh, I owe one hospital some big money, they gave it to a collection agency to collect, after arguing with me for over 6 months they finally gave the debt back to the hospital to collect. Haven't heard from the hospital for over 18 months.
My pal The Bizzler biz does medical collections, the hospitals have the different collection companys millions in debt each week to collect on..... the gas company hands him tens of thousands a week to collect on... My internal research tells me its a tie for company revenue..... folks have to turn on gas so they pay the bill...lots of these folks they end up trying to collect on for medical die ...... or will never work again...... real bad debt to collect on but they get a high percentage of the claim structure.

Yep.
These posts of attacks serve no purpose, way to many posts insulting peoples levels of crazyness and percived chemical abuses....
No purpose.
I like to engage the facts from my point of view and unique life experences..
BTW for the record..Fish Haid was hit by another motorcylist in a competive race.
Folks want to go straight to the Player Haters Ball and aint got any jokes!
The bike did not injure me. It was the ground that I landed on which caused my injury.
Of course the primary blame is the **** that ran into me.
I beleive racing dirtbikes is overall safer than venturing 40 miles out to sea on a chunk of fiberglass holding 300 gallons of gasoline. MUCH lower chance of death.
I'm not threatening anyone. I'm saying I would love to meet him for a "beer". Threatening would be against the rules.

Yous see where Calab Moore died today from the accident on the snowmobile at the X-games last week, it looked good that he walked away....Now dead.....We are more lucky each day than unlucky to be here.
I recently had minor surgery and during the consultation ask what the total cost would be as there was a decision as to which year it should be done for deductibles. The surgeon looked at me like I had 2 heads as he had no clue. It took 4 people to figure it out and they were still low by 20%.
And the kicker was there was a problem after the surgery and I had to pay to fix that also.
That's the one that always gets me. Who here has a job you can totally screw things up on a customer and then hand them a bill to fix it.
I had to get a couple brain aneurysms fix at a cost of $170,000 to the insurance company. My co-pay was $500 since it wasn't an ER visit. Massachusetts General was even nice enough to give me a payment plan interest free for the $500.

Is this coming from your high horse of calling him a dumb *** in your first post? I don't drink with whiny fools who think they are always right but if you want to meet up to measure di cks Joey Buttons seems to be into that from the post he made on the Ron Jeremy thread so you guys have fun.

As a general rule, the REST of the credit world knows that the Medical World has their head up their ****.... I spent time in car sales and time in Tractor Sales, Sales Management and as the General Manager of a tractor dealership (LArgest volume Kubota Dealer in the state at the time I was there. I could 99 times out of 100, get past significant medical collections as long as installment debt, credit cards, etc were paid on time. MOST often at prefered rates.

My FIL had a quintuple bypass surgery in November. Surgery + 2 weeks in the hospital/ICU, bill is over $350k. No insurance, he has been a farmer all his life and couldn't afford coverage. They applied for assistance with the county they live in PA, and the "negotiated price" has dropped down to about $35k.
