Given the size of this event, the story would have been just as true if said 60, 100, 200 or 300 footer, but most here have a 30 footer or less.

You may be suprised with the compairson to lower manhatten and buildings 3 times as high...... Lets say in opionion south of houston to battery park aint a big deal in size of mass.....
Why dont you campare volume of ice that moved to the amount of rain forest removed from the planet over the time of retreat and see if there is a ratio...get back to me, i would like to know......Lower manhatten isnt a big area say 3 square miles at most by 3 X 700 feet... 2100 in height.... Call ice a renuable resource and all the smart people will start using more!!!
