I'm growing a beard

Pretty sure every man has that 2-3 day itch when they grow out their beard. Get past that and it shouldn't itch any more.

new tradition I started last year, I don't shave from 1/1 to St Patty's. I'll do a little trimming but the beard will stay, the wife hates it!

The itchy stage only lasts a few days. I couldn't imagine dragging a razor across my face ever again.

I've been on vacation for two weeks and started growing a beard. I've never had one, but think I'm going to like it. The wife hates it but oh well, seems all the other ladies like it been receiving lots of complements.

I have let it grow out for about 5 months before, but I got these **** waves in it that really make it look goofy, might give it a year this time and see if they straighten out.

I've heard it all Issac Hayes, Rick Ross, Kimbo Slice. Was out shopping before Christmas and a lady came up to me saying I look like Darius Rucker, that's not the first time I've heard that surprisingly. My response is usually, "Yea, before Weight Watchers" lol. I guess it depends on how i'm dressed and what shape i'm in, I can drop weight and bulk up pretty quick when my schedule allows time but when life's hectic I fatten up even quicker.

Haha. One of the main reasons for trimming the beard way down is do to the Rick Ross comments. We took a trip down to Isla Roatan and the whole trip I kept getting asked for autographs and pics. At first I thought they were joking but realized they were serious, even after telling someone I wasn't him they still wanted a pic because I looked like him lol.

Got news for you guys, we're all "growing a beard". It's just that some of us decide to stop investing the time to shave the beard off regularly.

Have had a beard since the 70's & wonder how much time was saved by not shaving daily? Say 10 minutes shaving per day for 40 years. That's over 2400 hours, way more than working an entire year of 40 hour weeks - SPENT SHAVING.

A wise old bearded man once told this agnostic: "Never saw a representation of Jesus that didn't have a beard. If God wanted man's face to be clean shaven He would not have created beards. Can't very well strive to be like Christ unless you also strive to look like Christ."
