Read Gary's #2 post to give you a little more incite..............

MACD, the word is 'insight', and Gary's 'cut and paste' rambling lists no crime, merely a diatribe of misspelled words, run-on sentences, and bad grammar. Plus, who on here trusts ANYTHING Gary says?

Well I'll go with 55,000 posts and about 12 yrs of service to this forum of Gary's record, thus throwing stones at your rediculiuos 14 posts of useless nonsense as a stevo goat.

    But that's just me.

Ahh, of course! The 'good' Christian goes for insults! For the record, I've been a member of the Florida Sportsman forums since 1999, but they made us all 're-register' a few years back to accommodate a new format. But I digress. And Gary's 5,000 posts since a year and a half ago just show a record of bored non-sense, for even a broken clock is right twice a day! You must be a liberal, MACD, since first you can't spell (rediculious??? LOL!, Stevio? Can you READ???)....and yeah, it's just you, not answering the question, and going for personal insults. Inept, uneducated, and emotional knee-jerk. Typical liberal. On one post, you're apologetic and contrite. On the next, you're a ****. Which one are you, bro?

Nope, just freedom for innocent citizens, regardless of belief. David Koresh didn't deserve to die any more than you do! If someone tried to stop at your family reunion and kill you because you believed differently than they did, I'd be the first to defend you (unless you are Al-Qaeda!). Just because someone believes differently than you, doesn't mean they deserve to die!

Well MACD, Coldair ain't the most articulate poster, bless his heart, but I don't think our government has any business laying siege to private property occupied by children when it sure as hell looks to me that if they wanted to pick up Mr. Koresh they could have done so on any of the numerous times that he left while under surveillence.

The Feds wanted to make a big show, and they sure as hell did, didn't they?

Karesh had plenty of time and money to hire the best liberal attorneys ......But he didn't because he was violent controlling psychopath disguising himself as jesus,

He made his followers suffer for his selfish arrogance.

It's 'Korseh', not 'Karesh', and again, what CRIME did he commit? No one disagrees that he was controlling, psycho, and a starry-eyed self-proclaimed messiah, but what CRIME did he commit?

Why would he hire an attorney, was he arrested?

If he had nothing to hide in the eyes of justice system, why did he not just hire an attorney and deal with it through the courts like everyone else does?

Answer.......He was a violent controling cultist phychopath.......I'm glad our Government can spot a nutjob.

I don't know all the details. Did the federales knock on the front door, or did they just bust in like the drawbridge was up?

Uhhhh, he didn't have a chance to hire an 'attorney', his property was encircled and everyone inside was executed. The courts would have been a WAAAAAY better option for him.

Question: What about David Koresh was violent? Also, what if the government considered YOU a nutjob, does that mean you lose all of your constitutional rights? People called Thomas Paine, Ben Franklin, and Paul Revere 'nutjobs' too, but I guess you'd be a loyalist????

Old Thompson, you are in a COMPLETELY different culture from most Floridians. We have the weather, you have the collectivism of a great community and ice fishing beyond compare! The fish are GONE from NE FL now......

    HA!

Ice fishing can be experienced in FL. Just got to find a walk in freezer, sit on the floor on a five gallon bucket, and have an accomplice dump ice water over your head!

I'll be comming down to fish salt next year. Early next year.

WI ain't so great or I wouldn't bother you fine folks!

That's what everybody says, then they get here and crime is rampant, no neighbors know each other, and there is no sense of community, everything is transient.....doctors never stay in the same spot, dentists close practices, ugh.....no pride here....

    That's a shame.

Ever go out west? I was in Seattle a few months back and bought a WA saltwater license on a day off. The regualations there are FREAKING draconian but it don't really matter because there ain't no fish there either.

No governemnt likes its citizens to leave the herd. They are branded as cultists, nuts, or extremeists. This applies to conservative governments as well as more liberal. In the U.S. it seems to me the more liberal members of government are more likely to feel threatened by those who go against the grain and will "label" those they disagree with more quickly than the conservatives. A few examples are when those who disagree with the acceptance of homsexuality are labeled as "homophobes", people who enjoy guns and shooting whether for sport or self defense are labeled as "gun nuts", people who point out more crime is commited by minorities are labeled "racists", and let's not forget the labeling of religious beliefs as believing in myths.

Of course the same goes for other side as can be seen when one of the worst things someone can be called is a "liberal" or "socialist", "****", "****", it is interesting those who have been labeled "liberal" have attempted to redefine themselves as being "progressive" which would imply they are moving forward in their development and thought process.

As far as David Koresh is concerned I clearly recall the sheriff of McLeannan County stating he saw Koresh when Koresh went jogging and they could have picked up anytime if the feds had asked. Further, the Chief of Police for Waco said Koresh went to the same dinner nearly every day and could also could have picked him up at any time but the feds never communicated with him. Also, let's not forget what happened to Randy Weaver's family at Ruby Ridge where both his wife and young son were, in effect, murdered by a federal sniper.

    :Spittingcoffee

It is a cut and paste of my own analysis which has broad acceptance of most who are disinclined to subscribe to government conspiracy, including this false flag of state sponsored terror, effengy. It originally appeared here, in post #49:

    http://forums.floridasportsman.com/showthread.php?89853-First-mass-murder-you-remember/page2&highlight=syndrome

I also added the "fault" of a mishandled siege and assault as a cause of the catastrophe:

The government is not known for its effective problem solving ability or delegating independent action to those with advanced local knowledge, more capable of appropriate action.

In fact they can be counted upon for choosing the worst possible reaction to any situation requiring lethal force.

My review of the event indicates that law enforcement's ham handed reaction was clearly anticipated by Koresh as part of his plan to martyr himself and his cult.

Reading any of his work reveals his belief that the forces of Babylon would seek to destroy his "ministry " by fire, directly attributable to his all too literal interpretation and belief in the accuracy of the Book of Revelations . This was not a fear, but necessary to affirm his divine mission. He was very familiar with law enforcement procedures in hostage situations and needed only to establish a situation to replicate one to trigger the assault and maintain it by delay until he was ready to realize his fanatically inspired outcome.

Suicide by police was in his mind necessary and unavoidable. It is very sad that the responsibility for this act of madness and murder is laid at the feet of law enforcement, as incompetent as they were in hindsight, rather than where it truly should reside; with its designer. The responders are just as much the victims of Howell's madness as were his congregation, only they have to be tormented by their involvement for the rest of their lives.

To label them as murderers in any but the most abstract sense is cruelly unfair and ultimately inaccurate. You may as well hang that label on John the Evangel for giving him the idea.

The "crime" Howell committed was premeditated murder, by coercing his cult to commit mass suicide , all initiated by his refusal to comply with a lawful judicial order.
