OK Complete, you certainly are showing you and Mr. Weber can organize and put on a great tournament in BBGC tradition and you have two new ones on the books. I am certainly not going to miss the Billfish Tournament for sure!
Here is one that a lot of people have expressed interest in over the recent years and now we have two ways of doing it.
How about a Swordfish Tournament this summer. You can have night fishing for one or two nights, and a Daytime leg to make it interesting.
With the fully rebuilt swordfish stock in the North Atlantic by anyone's measure, this could be a kill tournament and certainly would put a lot of food fish on the Island. My understanding is the only way to swordfish in the Bahamas and kill one is with a permitted tournament. This is a sustainable fish and plenty of unused fish going around. The Bimini ledge used to produce some great catches in the old Longline days when they fished from Bimini to Miami.
These kinds of tournament have a big turnout in every single case in South Florida and the same fishing exists over there. it would be a good chance to experiment with the swordfishery over there and would bring out the best of the best anglers from South Florida.
Might be worth considering once you get these two over and under your belt.
