St. Maartin fishing questions

GifisherGifisher Posts: 70 Deckhand
Gonna be in St. Martin for a day or two, and I hear there is some decent tarpon fishing there.
Anyone ever been? If so, any lure suggestions? Figured I'd bring a DOA baitbuster, mirrolure, bagley mullet, soft plastic strike king, etc.
Would like to try for bonefish as well, but I hear they're in deeper water, not really sight fished or targeted, etc...
Probably going to bring both a spinner and a fly rod and explore the island on foot and/or with a rental car.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated...

Fish orient for bottom fish, really rocky bottom ( lots of eye candy). If you want tarpon rent a kayak and go in the lagoon by the restaurants on the water, they all have tarpon around them, they feed them.
And if you get bored with that come over to saba and charter my boat ill put you on some dencent wahoo and dolphin.
    good luck
