Just an observation... not criticism... just sayin........ & around here I never know what to expect, so I try to have low expectations... but it's tough sometimes... carry on.......

Ok. Ok. Ok. Foam. The cheap stuff, barbasol. But the razor is whats important. I use the gillette fusion, expensive but long lasting and extremely comfortable.

I've been using barbasol lately, usually use gel, not the same as soap. Soap dries me out bad.

Probably something to do with astringent agents in the soap washing the oils from my epidermis. I have sensitive skin. I tend to have to use lotion after I shower too.

??? Are you kidding? The Fusion aloe strip wears off after 3 shaves max. Maybe I should try it with Barbasol instead of the Gillete gel that goes with the Fusion.

Yeah those wear off fast but the razor stays sharp and cuts fine without that gimmick.

I just started using a double bladed safety razor with shaving soap. It gives me a really close shave and the blades are a fraction of the cost of a cartridge razor. The razor cost me about the same as 20 Mach 3 cartridges and I can get 50 blades for $10. The shaving soap is a little more expensive than the canned creams and gels, but one tub will last a long time.

If you're manscaping, just dry shave. I don't know why, but there's no need to lather up down there. I swear to God, I am not lying.
