Decided to get some shrimp and fiddlers and switch over to our winter time style of fishing. After a late start we were on the water about 11am. stayed on the east bank and decided to hit up the canals.Water wasnt as clear as days before, but good enough to see black and white bars. we anchored up and hit the first dock. we both get worked a couple times before we managed to get 8 sheepshead to the boat. we kept 5 and broke off many others. we decided to mix up some shrimp in our game plan and only took 30 seconds before we had our first red. as we net the red my pole goes down and after a quick fight a black drum decided to join the party. I decide to throw on another crab in hopes of another sheep. i get a nibble and set the hook, it felt a little heavier than the other so i knew it was a big fish. after about 30 seconds of pulling him out of the dock he made a long run away from the boat. at this point i realized i had a red and not a sheepshead. after about 2 minutes we boat the fish and snap a photo. Ended up catching 2 more reds before we called it a day at 1:15pm. All in all not a bad day.
