Mosquito lagoon Vs. Indian River Lagoon?

Hey guys, I am brand new here and Im from the south florida area. (Miami)
Next weekend, Me and my Buddies are gonna take a road trip with kayaks and canoes up to that general misquito/ Indian river lagoon area strictly to fish, but we dont know which one that we are better off fishing, we have 2 days to fish and we want to maximize our fishing times in the best possible areas, were going for the areas legendary Gator trout and redfish (more after Redfish than anything).

Any help with anything is VERY much appreciated, all I need is a jumping off point..

I will post my whole trip on the forum and will give spots and details through PM to anybody who decides to help me and my buds, im from down south and go fish Marco Island every weekend, its all fun but when you do it 4 weekends in a row and only one snook is bigger than 29", you want to move to bigger and better things lol

Any help is appreciated!!

    Mosquito Lagoon

Put in at Eddy Creek (east side) paddle out of the bay, work the flats around the small islands southwest. Study google maps satellite images.
    Go Early.
    Grass flats.
    Keep moving slowly, quietly.
Sight fish. Cast to tails or vees (bigger vees are reds, smaller vees are mullet.)
Weedless flukes. Cals w jig heads, DOA shrimp, Gulp shrimp, live shrimp, cut mullet, ladyfish, finger mullet.
Ask Jumbo Shrimp if you can tag along.

    Buona Fortuna.

I frequently fish both. right now I have been setting up on the south indian river lagoon on the east sides using pinfish and hooking up into some monster redfish. Let me know where you plan on putting in at and i can point you in the right direction. PM me if necessary.

This old website has a lot of good info on it....http://www.spacecoastoutdoors.net/Fishing_Lagoon_Feature_MINWR.htm

Also there is a ton of info you can poach from here including all the launch spots... www.orlandokayakfishingclub.com (scroll down to bottom left and you can download a google earth file with a ton of launch spots marked for the lagoons, orlando, and westcoast florida.
