Homosassa Offshore 11/23 with Lee and Friends.

Lee and I took Laura and her son Stacey offshore for a day of grouper fishing. She wanted to see if we could get out weather permiting and today was an absolutely perfect day to run offshore and dig up some grouper. We picked them up at thi
er dock at 8:00 despite the 37 degree chill in the air everyone was ready to rock! We ran through perfect seas the entire day never seeing more than a light chop. We fished between 37 and 60 feet moving frequently to keep a bite going. Laura scored 3 real nice gags that we returned. One literally brought her to her knees but she battled it all the way in as we cheered her on. Stacey finished the day with a 20 minute battle with abig shark that resulted in a bitten through leader. The action wasn't real fast but steady all day with 3 keeper reds joining us for the ride in along with a pile of grunts. I can't remember a better day out that far weather wise. Good folk, perfect seas and some mighty fine fish for another great day on the bay here in the big bend.

A fine red for Laura
