Ozello 7/28 short trip topwater redfish
Eric hasn't been able to get out fishing lately and after doing some tackle maintenance I decided to see if I could get him a red or two. We hit the salt at around 2 and headed straight to ozello to prospect some new territory for backwater reds. The water was hot and the Sky's were high but the tide was right. We worked an area that was totally unfamiliar to me. Eric worked a white Skitterkalk as I worked a spinner bait. Eric scored first with a fine 25 inch red and I picked up a rat a little later. We plotted a trail and marked some promising looking spots. The heat sent us home by 4.
