Jennings Buckmaster Lite String needed ASAP- where can I find one?

bobert421bobert421 Posts: 400 Deckhand
The string on my Jennings Buckmaster is giving out. Perfect timing too. I leave Nov. 16th on my first hunting trip. I have between now and then to find a new string for it. Any suggestions on where to go? The budget is tight also.

Not looking to put a lot of money into it since I will most likely replace the bow after the trip if I really start getting into hunting.

You just need to got to someone who is a Bear/Jennings dealer.

Or Bass Pro Dania. Either will have it or can get it.

Or call Bear's service department in Gainesville 800-694-9494

    Thank you.

BassPro - Told me to contact Jennings, they can install the string but do not have the right one.
Bear - Gave me the contact for a custom guy in Illinois. I think I would rather stay local if it has to be custom.
Driveway Sports - Left message. Waiting to hear back.

I know you said you're not looking to drop a ton of money but maybe give someone like Vapor Trail a call and see if they have one in stock or how quick they can get one made. Granted I shoot a Mathews Drenalin but I had mine in a few days. Then you just need to take the bow to someone to get it setup. Good string for the money, less than a Winner's Choice, and good customer service in my experience.

Call Clayton, tell him Cameron sent you. He should be able to do it in a couple of days. (754)264-5145.

go on ebay. theres a guy who makes them with cold wax fusion. Every one on archery talk is talking great about them. Great customer service and the string AND cable for my mathews cost 40 bucks. I bought them as a backup set for a kansas trip so I dont have any reviews thus far.

Another option might be Palm Beach Archery. I've never been there but just saw an ad the other day. Local place that might know something though...

Went with an ebay string. Cheap enough and it ships tomorrow. Thanks everyone for the input. Hopefully I will have a good report in a couple of weeks.
