The federal gov't has its boot on the neck of the commercial fisherman. As if fisheries management isn't out of control enough already. Now the USCG is requiring all commercial vessels comply with much stricter laws regarding very expensive and heavy safety equipment. New ongoing inspections certifications, report filings etc. The federal gov't has become a giant self serving menace thats going to choke out more honest, hard working people that have already jumped thruogh endless hoops and paid endless dues. I guess the fact that 85% of all seafood consumed in this country is imported is too low for our gov't leaders. Especially considering healthy fish stocks and the fact that permitted and licensed legitimate commercial fisherman with large investments already made can't fish. Its pathetic.
