Whats up FS, hoping to get some feedback tonight about getting out of the wind down in flamingo.
I fish out of a kayak and after having made my first trip down there not too long ago-Ive gotta get back. The problem is this-the wind is howling out of the north east tomorrow morning, a lot more than I would like. Plus, the tide is dropping until around 830/9, which I assume will be a little off with the winds.
So it looks like the water Ill be fishing will be whatever is left in the channels unless there's still some on the flats.. I'm thinking of heading west as close to the shore as possible and hoping for the best. My past week and a half has been horrendous and I just need to get down there.
Im just wondering how much protection I can expect in the channel from Flamingo boat ramp to the west( from the up to 20 knot wind out of the NE) in the morning ? OR if there ll still be any water left on the flats so I can hug the shore instead(mind you I'm in a a kayak and can get real skinny)
Thanks in advance,
LG
