Go look for one, and then tell us how many parts changers you find.
but only on the fuel injection. The ignition and starting system are not tied into the ecm.

shows up for work on his first day with a 160 craftsman tool set. He made it about 3 days.

they went to multipoint inj in 87
I see it more on the computer controlled outboards.
If the computer can't tell them what is wrong, the parts changers are clueless.
I think back then the fuel injection systems looked much like a carb system.
I believe some of the 351 and 460 trucks had a carb option up into the 90s but most were injected. The 351 and 460 carb trucks came with a holley built motorcaft carb. Thirsty lil biatches too!
Not kidding 9 mpg towing or not, but it does pull OK for a gasser.
I couldn't currently do it for fun. And I seem to think you don't have the bucks to make it happen.:wink
And until calusa check the key switch or shift switch that truck ain't going anywhere wtihout jumping the relay.

I gave him the schematic, get the man a durn test light!
Thats a Holley aftermarket TBI and they drink the fuel.The factory stuff was a lot better.(chrysler had basically the holley stuff)
