The last time my female dog came into contact with my mother's female dog, they got into several fights. The last one was so bad, I could not keep them separated and ended up getting bit myself. Is there a method of acclimating the two so that they can live together? It's pretty likely that my mother and her dog will be living with us in the near future.

I also have a male dog who is a compete ****, but I think he might be what they're fighting over.

I'll let Johnny chime in but I always have "teen/adult" dogs meet on neutral territory.

You might want to include breed, ages, sizes, etc.. I'd also suggest meeting where everyone is leashed. Well, the dogs anyways.

Both are in the 50 lb range, fixed female mutts. Mine appears to be a greyhound mix; mom's is a black lab mix.
