No big deal-- Blackpoint has been on my black list, but went with a Meet Up group today to re-visit. No good pics of fish as my GoPro was packed with a full memory card.. :huh ..was probably my fault.. lol. Anyway, made it out on the launch while it was still dark, got out of the mangrove tunnel when the sun broke the horizon. Hit the bay right there and the mullet were in full splashing swing. Threw my top water on top of them every time they splashed up, wound up with three jacks. Nothing to write home about, but its always nice to catch on top water and have your drag peel a bit. Sadly, after about an hour the mullet moved on, and that was pretty much the end of the fishing day. Tried some various areas and various lures for about five more hours. The top water still had the most action during these times, but no more hook ups. The moral of the story? Stay on the mullet!
My two iPhone pics.. awesome sunrise!
(Yes, my GoPro made it that far before I realized it was full from my last trip)
