Double D's crew headed out of Jupiter inlet Friday at 6 am. Had a guest mate, Trent aboard today. Headed to north rocks looking for bait-google eye, blue runners, etc. NOTHING. Headed out to high speed troll for wahoo. NOTHING. This is about our 6th try high speed trolling and haven't had any luck yet. So put out a ballyhoo, cedar plug, small orange xrap, and feather rig. Blamo, multiple double hook ups. Mostly Blackfin with a couple of Skippy's and Bobo's. Kept 4 nice BFT's and let the rest go. All were caught on the cedar plug and small orange Xrap between Jupiter and Juno in 130-200ft of water. Nice morning and ended up being a good day. Decided to search for debris. Made it out to 1000ft of water and started getting sloppy so I decided to slow troll back in a bit. No luck slow trolling some big lures but did have a blast with 3 porpoises playing in front of the boat for almost 15 minutes. That was worth the gas for the non producing search effort. Enjoyed some nice seared blackfin tuna on the grill for dinner. It was awesome.
TIGHT LINES ALL!
