Fun at Juno Beach

The kids were home from school on yesturday, so I took my oldest son to the Juno Beach area to try to get into some of that surf action I have been reading about.

We started fishing the surf north of the pier at about 8:30am. We go into the fish right away. I started with a topwater plug which got me a bunch of small jacks and bluefish. My son was using a DOA Baitbuster. The fish just tore this up, leaving him with a total of 11 fish in an hour. He caught a bunch of lady fish, which were fun to catch as well as jacks and Bluefish. He was even more excited when he got a nice size snook that was underslot.

The surf was a bit rough, but he had a blast!

The release!
